A true masterpiece.
In 3 the norwegian noise rockers and experimentalists MoE try to catch the live vibe in a very special recording where all the sound ranges and dynamics are mixed in a perfect balance to give to us a very powerful record with a very big and fat sound nad an atmospheric vibe.
In 3 we can find some exploration into the experimental rock sonorities , giving to us a very minimalist but powerfull record full of textures.
If you are into the music of Khanate, Sunn O))), Neurosis, Harvey Milk, the rock side of Keiji Haino, Painkiller, Naked City, this album is for you.
The album is dedicated in concept to Mexico, and it was recorded after the first tour of the band over this country.
The cover is designed by Lasse Mahaug and it represents the mummies of Guanajuato (that rests in a special museum): dead bodies covered in some minerals that maintains the corpse far from rotting.
The trio composed by the norwegian experimental composer, double bassist and singer Guro Skumsnes Moe (Sult, Okkyung Lee, Kaada, Maja Ratkje), the avant-jazz guitarist Håvard Skaset (Sult, Maja Ratkje, Skaset, Frode Gjerstad, Hild Sofie Tafjord, Fred Frith) and the experimental avant-garde drummer Joakim Heibø Johansen (Ich Bin Nintendo, Matts Gustaffson) explore new sonorities album by album. In concert they presents us a immersive and LOUD experience standing as one of the most direct rock sound acts of the underground worldwide.
The distribution of this album is part of the permanent collaboration between MoE and Substrata.
